With 121 children, the head of a fundamentalist Mormon community has amassed his gigantic family with the help of an incredible 24 wives. The Man With 121 Children (And 24 Wives) goes inside his 500-strong clan in Bountiful, British Columbia to delve into Blackmore's life and find out how his many wives deal with issues such as jealously in a plural system of marriage.

Featuring candid interviews with some of Blackmore's wives and children, as well as an in-depth discussion with the many-times-married man himself, the usually secretive community reveals that to them polygamy is as moral a lifestyle as any other, and they're determined to prove this to the world. This theory is based on the belief that having numerous wives and fathering multiple children is the surest route to the higher reaches of Heaven's hierarchy.

With communities such as these attracting huge amounts of rumour, threats of prosecution, and speculation, this programme goes inside the notorious group to reveal life as it really is - in the words of the people who live there.
