Wicked Pirate City follows of a team of marine scientists who have gathered to explore the underwater archaeological site of the legendary pirate city of Port Royal, Jamaica. Their goal is to “swim where pirates once walked,” survey the site to create a historically accurate 3D model of the city in its heyday using CGI. But the teams encounter several obstacles: finding the actual site, the limited visibility in the bay and the layers of sediment covering the sunken city.

The historians featured in Wicked Pirate City describe the political struggles, cast of historical characters that made Port Royal what it was, and examine primary artifacts to help tell the story of the city.
