Synopsis
Foraging chef Viet Pham presents and narrates the story of his trip back to his birthplace. He is in Terengganu, north-eastern Malaysia, to learn about its cuisine and ingredients, and take inspiration from these influences to create a dish all his own. His adventure will take him from the city to the rainforests, out to sea and into the depths of the countryside - and even into his own traumatic family history. With all this going on in the space of only a week, will he be able to pull together a dish that does justice to his experiences and meets his own perfectionist standards?
