Highway Thru Hell

Synopsis

Keeping this beast of a road open takes an army of men and machines, and the last line of defence is a fleet of custom built heavy trucks, with men behind the wheel who are never willing to let the mountains get the better of them. Jamie, Kevin, Adam, Brandon, Samy, Ken, Bruce, Rob and Gord are back, and ready to rescue more truckers in distress. After a long, slow summer it's time to welcome the winter and the work rolls in, sometimes literally. Whilst skids and crashes keep our guys in business, drivers only make money while they're on the move, so the team have to deal with some very impatient truckers. They must work quickly to ensure one of the busiest mountain passes in the country doesn't have any hold-ups. Closure is not an option.

Heavy Rescue

Heavy Rescue: Series following the rescue team on Canada's Coquihalla highway. With big cliff drops, storms and rock slides, this road is dubbed the Bermuda Triangle of trucking. (S1, ep 1)

Where's My Rotator?: The rescue team struggles when a huge trailer packed with wood flips on the deadly road. Later, a lorry full of fine wine ends up at the bottom of a ravine. (S1, ep 2)

It's Stormy Everywhere

It's Stormy Everywhere: Jamie's team are in for a freezing all-night rescue operation when an out-of-control snow plough skids on the deathly highway, slamming into two trucks. (S1, ep 3)

No Tears In Towing

No Tears In Towing: One of the drivers gets a wake-up call when his friend loses a leg in a towing accident. Tow man Jamie realises he has a rival on the deathly Coq highway. (S1, ep 5)

The Avalanche Zone

The Avalanche Zone: Snowfall leaves trucks backed up in high-risk avalanche zones. As helicopters drop bombs to shift the build-up, the team fight to get the traffic moving. (S1, ep 6)

The Family Business

The Family Business: The Coquihalla Highway rescue crew face their hardest recovery of the series when they are forced to pull a smashed-up truck up a sheer 400-metre cliff. (S1, ep 7)

Yin & Yang

Yin & Yang: A head-on collision sees the entire rescue crew scrambling to clear the highway. Plus, risky avalanche conditions cause Kevin to question his choice of profession. (S1, ep 8)

I Can't Take It Anymore!

I Can't Take It Anymore!: The rescue crew race into action when a mail truck falls down a ravine. Plus, mounting bills force weary boss Jamie to lay off members of his team. (S1, ep 9)
