Synopsis

On Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER the cases and cures are as wild and unexpected as the animals that come through the door. Dr. Susan Kelleher owns and operates one of the busiest exotic animal care practices in South Florida. Along with her skilled and dedicated staff, she treats a dynamic array of patients ranging from goats, to monkeys, birds, rabbits, pigs, fish and every imaginable animal in between. "Everything but dogs and cats. If it will fit through the door, I'll treat it!" is Dr. K's motto.

The doctors rush to find clues to what is causing a rabbit to wobble, a tortoise to not walk and a pig to not eat or poop. Mimi, a red-footed tortoise, can't walk. Dr. T gets creative building a tortoise sized skateboard to get him back on his feet.

Smaug the three-year-old tegu has tummy trouble that takes a turn for the worse, a routine bird check up turns out to be anything but routine when Dr. K discovers a surprising problem with Lola the fourteen-year-old cockatiel.

It's never a dull moment at the clinic with Biggie, a noisy pig that needs an eyelift, Fred, a quail attacked by a flock-mate that tries to escape, Buddy, a bearded dragon who is all choked up on his lunch and an adorable skunk, named Ophelia, who lets loose on the staff.

Dr. T treats a tiny chameleon and a newborn quail hatchling. And, the whole team fights to save a tortoise with a mysterious illness that has her whole shell and body turning white.
