GENIUS EINSTEIN'S VALENTINES: HELEN DUKAS

HELEN DUKAS

Helen Dukas (pictured above, far left) was Einstein's loyal secretary and "Cerberus-like" guard who lived with him from 1928 until his death in 1955. They became American citizens together in 1940. According to Walter Isaacson's biography, Einstein's son Hans Albert suspected that Dukas may have had an affair with his father, and said so to others. But those who knew her found the suggestion improbable. She died in 1982, having never married.

Go back to Albert Einstein's theory of infidelity.
