    The Bismarck, Season 5 | Episode 1

The Royal Navy's battle with Bismarck is a pivotal point in the Second World War. In losing Bismarck, the Germans lost their opportunity to defeat Britain and turn the tide of war. Naval historian Andrew Lambert has studied this famous sea battle and sheds light on the reasons for Bismarck's fate. He believes the sinking follows a catalogue of errors on both sides, and ultimately he finds fault with the core German war strategy.
