Synopsis

In 1930s Germany, the Nazi Party created the Hitler Youth to indoctrinate children and adolescents with Nazi ideology and prepare them to become a child army for Hitler. The first programme traces the rise of the movement through to the war.

  • The Nazi Child Army

    The history of the Hitler Youth began with that of the Nazi party in the 1920's. After a failed coup attempt in 1923, the Nazi Party and its leader Adolf Hitler seize power in 1933. The Hitler Youth movement progressively absorbs all other youth organization, and indoctrinates a new generation of German boys. This first episode shows how these young boys were unconsciously prepared for the incoming war. They will dedicate their life to their supreme leader and will follow him until the last moment.

  • Child Soldier's Last Stand

    Emerging in the 1920s, the hitlerjugen, the youth movement of the Nazi Party served Hitler fanatically. After Hitler became Chancellor, the organization absorbed all young Germans. From the early age, they were given military and ideological training. By the time Germany was at war, they were ready and willing to serve. The years of indoctrination have paid off and some of them will be selected for their recklessness and barbarism to join a new SS division sent to Normandy. They will face the Allies with extreme persistence. Hundreds of these young soldiers will be captured by the Allies and sent into camps to be denazified. Some of them will...
