+Forty-seven miles into their 200-mile trek across the Serengeti, the human herd finds itself in challenging new terrain; a channel of granite outcrops between dense forest and the exposed open Serengeti plains. To survive they must find water, firewood and shelter, but this rocky terrain is also a habitat that appeals to lions. The herd flees a thunderstorm only to walk straight into a lioness' guarding her cubs. +The Herd is 14 days into their migration, and has just lost a sixth member. They have already encountered some of nature's deadliest predators, but now the Herd is confronted with an entirely new danger - poachers. Alarmed by the potentially deadly situation that now faces them, the Herd have no option but to push harder than ever to get out of poacher territory. Forced to travel through steep valleys and thick woodland, the brutal pace is a wakeup call to some in the Herd; and difficult decisions cause tensions to rise higher than ever. +The Herd is 19 days and 122 miles into their epic challenge - following the great wildebeest migration across the Serengeti. But they have been stuck on the banks of the flooded Orangi River for the past two days. Determined to catch up to the wildebeest, the herd strike east in the hope of finding a crossing point. To do this, they must walk alongside the river in dense vegetation - prime predator territory. And it doesn't take long before they come face to face with one of Africa's most dangerous animals - hippos. River guide Jens spots a way across, but they must be careful not to disturb the territorial hippos - or catch the attention of deadly...

+With just 32 miles to the finishing line at the Mara River, the herd's gruelling 200-mile journey across the Serengeti is finally coming to its end. But with food rations down to zero, crossing the final miles could kill them.
