Synopsis

Hazen Audel, survival instructor and wilderness guide, travels to the most extreme places on earth to take on solo challenges that will push him to the limit of his knowledge, endurance and skills. Battling dense Guyana jungle, parched Kenyan plains and an active volcano in the Pacific Vanuatu islands. To succeed, he will rely on the ancient techniques of indigenous people who have lived in these environments for thousands of years.

In the face of oppressive heat and humidity, ancient sea-faring cultures rely on what little they can scrounge from the land, but predominantly rely on the bounty of the sea. Armed with their ancient survival skills, Hazen will take on monstrous storms, razor sharp coral reefs and lethal predators and shows us what it takes to survive on tropical islands.

Hazen ventures under tons of arctic sea ice to gather vital food from the sea floor, track down big game through miles of the thorn-covered Kalahari plains, and herd hundreds of reindeer over Norway's endless frozen tundra.
