Synopsis

As calls for help roll in, resourceful first responders must overcome a slew of threats. From a volunteer-run fire department battling blazes and a helicopter crew armed with explosives to keep up with avalanches to flash-flood warnings and ferocious predator encounters, Yukon Rescue’s first responders put it all on the line to get the job done.

    Frigid temperatures wreak havoc on Dawson City, putting the fire department in danger. An avalanche shuts down the Klondike Highway, and a tow operator races to find a driver who plunged off the road into an icy river.

    Multiple 911 calls push Dawson City to the brink as first responders battle to save a family home and a historic building, while snowstorms pummel Whitehorse, causing chaos and forcing a dangerous backcountry helicopter rescue mission.

    As winter tightens its icy grip, the small, isolated community of West Dawson finds itself completely cut off from emergency services. Alone, Ray faces a string of dangerous solo vehicle-retrieval missions on a storm-battered highway.

  • Pressure Cooker

    Avalanche technicians race to repair a remote weather station before an incoming storm. The escalating risks force them to carry out a bombing mission to flush out a dangerous buildup of snow above the Klondike Highway. Meanwhile, Dawson City is left reeling from the loss of the person they rely on the most to keep them safe.

  • The Hunt

    The Yukon's Civil Air Search and Rescue Association battles treacherous flying conditions in its investigation of a historic missing plane. The Dawson City Fire Department responds to a 911 call that puts the town in jeopardy, while two of their own get into trouble far from home. Then, a call for help takes Ray into the Yukon's remote backcountry.

  • Ice Jam

    The Dawson City Fire Department races to protect the town from devastating flash floods. Conservation officers track down a dangerous and destructive bison herd, have a run-in with a bear, and set up a sting to catch a serial over-fisher. Ray and Doug deal with a muddy mess rescuing a hunter's broken-down vehicle.

  • Ransacked

    Conservation officer Logan has a close call while investigating a case of poaching, and an aggressive grizzly bear ransacks a remote trapper’s cabin. Ray comes to the rescue when a driver falls asleep at the wheel, and a new generation of Yukon First Nations Wildfire recruits are put to the test when a fire threatens Whitehorse.

  • End of the Road

    When a bear charges a group of remote researchers, a conservation officer deals with the potentially life-threatening situation. Later, the Dawson City Fire Department responds to a young boy injured on a mountain bike trail and a car crash in a ravine, before being honored by Chief Mike and the entire town for their service.
