  • Queen of Yala

    The shadowy forests of Yala National Park are the perfect hideout for secretive leopards. One young female, Asha, has never before ventured beyond her mother's territory - two square miles of lakeside hunting ground teeming with spotted deer and wild boar, a leopard's ideal prey.

  • Loka The Baby Elephant

    As baby elephant Loka navigates his way among the behemoths he must learn some crucial life lessons - suckling, swimming and getting a handle on his unwieldy trunk all under the watchful eye of his family

  • Lake Hunters

    In Sri Lanka's parched lowlands, monkeys eat succulent water lilies at a lake in a forest clearing. Alongside them, deer and wild boar come to drink. It's a peaceful scene - but it can't last.

    A huge manmade lake in Minneriya National Park supports the largest concentration of elephants in Asia. Families travel here, but for one young male this season marks a turning point.
