Wild Swamplands

Synopsis

Perhaps the most famous swamp in the USA is the Everglades of southern Florida, but there are many more swamps across the continent, all unique and all different in their own way. In this two hour special we visit two other swamps with distinctive landscapes and wildlife to find out what makes them special. The Atchafalaya is on the gulf coast of Louisiana, part of the Mississippi river delta. The Okefenokee is inland, on the Georgia/Florida border.
