    Iván Morales is a former Mexican Federal Police Officer. On May 1, 2015, during an operation aimed at capturing “El Mencho”, leader of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, Morales was severely injured and burnt when the helicopter he was travelling on was shot down by cartel gunmen.
